ERIC HOOVEN

Before becoming a professional tattoo artist, Eric developed his skills through traditional drawing, painting, mixed media, and professional airbrush work. He joined Frank Nardi at Synergy Tattoo Studio in 2009 and has focused his tattoo career on creating completely custom artwork.

Rather than relying on pre-drawn designs, Eric works closely with each client to develop an original tattoo around their ideas, preferred style, placement, and goals. His fine-art background influences the strong composition, color, texture, and movement found throughout his work.

Eric’s portfolio includes vibrant color realism, dark illustrative imagery, skulls, mythology, bio-organic and abstract designs, Japanese-inspired artwork, fine-line details, and large-scale projects. Every piece is carefully composed to flow naturally with the body and remain visually strong over time.
